Privacy Policy
Wedora (“we”, “us”) is a free wedding planning app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using Wedora or wedora.usetradebridge.com, you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
Wedora is provided for couples planning weddings. Contact for privacy questions: use the contact options on Buy Me a Coffee or in-app Settings once the app is live.
2. Information we collect
- Account data — email, display name, and authentication identifiers from Firebase Authentication (Email/Password, Google, and other providers you enable).
- Wedding workspace data — events, budgets, guest lists, RSVPs, checklists, timelines, reminders, contacts, media you upload, theme colours, gift links, and similar planning content you enter.
- Usage data — app interactions, crash diagnostics, and Firebase Analytics events (e.g. screens viewed) to improve reliability.
- Device data — push notification tokens (FCM) if you enable notifications; coarse locale/language settings.
- AI chat — messages you send to the Wedo assistant, plus a summary of your wedding context needed to answer (never other couples’ data).
3. How we use information
- Provide and sync your wedding planner across devices
- Authenticate you and enforce roles (owner, co-planner, guest)
- Send reminders and optional push notifications you opt into
- Power the Gemini-based Wedo assistant with wedding-scoped context
- Operate, secure, and improve Wedora
- Comply with law when required
We do not sell your personal data. The app is free; optional support is via Buy Me a Coffee and is processed by that third party under their terms.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your region (including UK GDPR / EU GDPR), we rely on contract (providing the service), consent (notifications, certain cookies/analytics), and legitimate interests (security, product improvement) where appropriate.
5. Sharing
We use processors to run Wedora:
- Google Firebase — Auth, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Hosting (project used for Wedora)
- Google Gemini — AI responses when you use Wedo
- Buy Me a Coffee — only if you open their link to tip
Co-planners and guests you invite can see content shared in that wedding workspace. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect safety and integrity of the service.
6. International transfers
Data may be processed in regions where Google / Firebase operate. Where required, appropriate safeguards apply under those providers’ terms.
7. Retention
We keep account and wedding data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated wedding data you own. Backups may persist for a limited period. AI prompts may be retained briefly for abuse prevention and quality, subject to provider policies.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Contact us via the channels above. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Children
Wedora is intended for adults planning weddings. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 (or the age required in your region).
10. Security
We use industry-standard provider controls (Firebase Auth, security rules, HTTPS). No method of transmission is 100% secure.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new effective date on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
